It's one of those lightning in a bottle moments in history, a time when music blossomed alongside televised media that created something of a perfect storm for Paul and the crew to become sensations in the way they did. They were laughing and cheering. Still, for the first three-quarters of the way, a very bright, sometimes exhilarating feature which never found its audience (the majority of the press it generated was in regards to Steven Spielberg's co-producer association). Except, where four teenagers in the latter make desperate attempts to acquire access to see glam rockers, KISS, eight New Jersey teenagers in I Wanna Hold Your Hand obsessively cramble for tickets to the taping of the famous 1964 episode of the Ed Sullivan show featuring the Beatles. Robert Zemeckis opens up about his unique ability to use telepathy. When the owner of a struggling used car lot is killed, it's up to the lot's hot-shot salesman to save the property from falling into the hands of the owner's ruthless brother and used-car rival. If they missed Beatles' first appearance in the U.S.A. they would hate themselves for the rest of their lives! The journey is full of surprises and misfortunes but the young ladies are determined to reach their idols.Zemeckis straight out the gate with a perfect debut filmYou might think you don't want to watch a movie about a bunch of kids trying to see The Beatles on Ed Sullivan, but this is so jam-packed with incident and emotion, Zemeckis and Gale find nooks and crannies even in 20th century pop culture's most obnoxiously sanctified instant and makes it sing, laugh, cry, jolt, etc. All segments were also in "Tales from the Crypt." The battle btw Rosie and Richard of “you’re a fan or you’re a poser”, was literally me and my friend talking about Ariana Grande, and that the incredible thing, everything applies to any fandom, but yeah, The Beatles were something else, for sure. I was also not impressed that one of the (girl) characters in the movie…I wasn't even going to watch this movie because I'm not a fan of the director [like, he's fine, just not what I like to watch] or The Beatles [like, they're fine, just not what I like to listen to] but I was sucked in by Nancy Allen's performance, so here's my average Zemeckis 3-star rating and a special shoutout to Eddie Deezen for being the only person on this planet more annoying than me.Beatlemania!
