tour de france 2020 where to stay

89 about six miles east of the sleepy little town of McCloud. Fish are stocked at Fowler’s Campground and Lower Falls. We’d been drinking the water all week, lots of water. We left the crowds at the falls behind and followed the River Trail upstream toward the Middle Falls. We sat in the shadow of the lodge for a moment then explored the area a bit. While Cindy and I haven’t made this jump, all three of our boys have, and our youngest son Nate led the way on the first jump after the trio spent about 15 minutes contemplating the height of their perch! If you do the full out and back trail you will cover 8-miles but only a 330 foot change in elevation. (Can you find them in the photo?) We passed by Fowlers Camp which was busy with campers as well as a doe searching for edibles. Cindy has found a favorite “rock” (more like a natural mattress) that fits her perfectly and allows her to soak in the hot sun, while lying on a hot rock and occasionally dipping her feet into the cold water. The McCloud River Falls Trail is an out and back trail, totaling just under 4 miles round trip, that passes three waterfalls — Lower McCloud Falls, Middle McCloud Falls, and Upper McCloud Falls. Not really a day hike. While Mt. Since spring wasn’t giving way to summer, I decided to enjoy the waterfall season with a drive to Siskiyou County. My Poppy Pass was accepted here. We returned to Bunny Flat and headed for our final stop of the day at the Lower McCloud River Falls picnic area. As neat as that was to see the Sun was soon directly on us and things heated up quickly as we clambered over the rocky trail. We’d spent five days hiking in the greater Mount Shasta area but it wasn’t until the sixth day that we made it to the mountain that we’d been seeing every day during our hikes. This waterfall is one of the widest in California at 120 feet, creating a veil of white water during spring and reducing to become two separate but uniform cascades in later seasons. The McCloud River has three sets of waterfalls, Lower Falls, Middle Falles and Upper Falls. It turned out that the slide was closer to 2 miles along the trail. There are stunning views of majestic Mount Shasta from this stretch of highway, and no one will blame you if you miss your turn because you’re gawking at the mountain. We chose a small Thai restaurant (the food was excellent) and when we were greeted we were informed that they couldn’t serve us any water. Given the heat and the fact that we were beginning to run out of gas in our legs we opted for the short (1.6 mile) trail to Horse Camp, the site of the Sierra Club Foundation’s Shasta Alpine Lodge. Our timing was good as we were in a great spot to watch the Sun rise over Mt.
