DVD I agree with what you said, I think it's meant to be sort of a deconstruction (and I'm not a fan of this term bc I'm not into pomo but it fits here) of the romcom genre with all the fixings, but where the rest of the plot is built up using jarring or ridiculous narrative devices and then it's presented to us as an alternative to all the other romcoms we've ever seen.Maybe it's a movie for people who have seen too many other movies and need to clear their palette, like ginger served with sushi?I feel like Beverly is also a play on the Manic Pixie Dream Girl trope.

I think linn luff represents every single “other guy” in these movies, whom of which have no substantive dialogue. 6. Gross out weirdness made by the same guy Jim Hosking and has a lot of the same cast and music.My favorite line & delivery was Jermaine Clement (Colin) telling Aubrey Plaza (LuLu) that he slept with a prostitute.
