When a $5 billion Space Agency probe disappears into an intergalactic wormhole, the agency recruits Ham III, grandson of the first chimpanzee in space, to help retrieve the wayward craft. "Space Chimps" is a mostly harmless animated movie aimed at pre-teens, but contains a lot of subtle adult refferences. This galactic adventure rockets the irreverent HAM and his fellow space chimps, TITAN and LUNA, deep into the cosmos to a wondrous planet ruled by a bizarre, tyrannical king. And, whereas monkeys and dogs had been mere passengers, NASA needed a test subject with the intelligence and dexterity to actually prove it could operate a spacecraft.
